ESCONDIDO — And on the sixth try in the Southern California Regional playoffs, San Pasqual High's boys soccer team finally got it right. After falling short in their first five trips, the No. 1-seeded Golden Eagles partied hard at home Saturday night, knocking off No. 2 San Clemente 1-0 to win the Div. II Southern California championship. San Pasqual coach John Burson led the Eagles into those first five playoffs. Of the win, Burson joked, 'I guess I'm a slow learner.' The game was as tight as the final score indicated.
